Ms. Melodee,

Born Melanie Renea Jackson to the late Rev. Milton & Ruthie Mae Jackson.  Ms. Melodee was raised in Canton, Mississippi, spent most summers and holidays in Cleveland, Ohio.  She attended Canton High School & East High School (Cleveland, Ohio) she graduated with honors and later pursued her Bachelors in Child Psychology & Development at Kaplan University as a Golden Key Honor Student 3.9-4.0 GPA, an active member for the OWLS Club, Psychology Club, Golden Key Honors; currently pursuing Masters in Psychology and a Bachelors for IT/& Business.  Melanie was always an astute learner and wanted to know new things where ever she went.  She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1993 after the death of her father with her two younger siblings.  After her brothers were adults, she moved on to pursue a music career as an artist, songwriter, actress and co-producer.  She met and began working with local Host Danny G., starting her venture into the world of "Karaoke" to find that she was not only loved but, welcomed by Las Vegas fans and became one of the hottest local figures and co-hosts through 1995-1997.  She left to return home in 1997 after her grandmother's near tragic stroke; to reside again in Mississippi and aide in her grandmother's recovery.  Mrs. Alberta Jackson a great role model and mother figure in her life succumbed to the lord's calling in August of 2002 and caused a great setback to Ms. Melodee being so close to her grandmother and losing the last parent figure she held near and dear.  Later after a year of grieving; Ms. Melodee finally found peace with the loss of her loved one and moved to San Diego, California where she came into her own and found different ways to express her loss in 2003.  Ms. Melodee then met Jerry Wesley a local host & Karaoke business owner. He funded the first album and original recordings in 2006-2007 that became the album “Then & Now by Ms. Melodee. She worked alongside Mr. Wesley they became known as "Jerri-Jay & Delta Diva" a name she acquired from her stage performances throughout San Diego with bands such as Double Play, Coupe Deville, Bonafide Players, Zamore', and Masterpiece.  Ms. Melodee later acquired her album name that was self-released with the assistance of Bombeat[S1]  Productions for recording and mixed and mastered by Studio West.  She has performed and opened shows throughout San Diego with Wild Style Entertainment for Legendary Lenny Williams, Rose Royce and R&B platinum recording stars and producers Rome, Jon B. and comedian BET comic Jay Lamont as well as being a part of "American Inventor's" (Simon Cowell) 1st Season with contestant Jerry Wesley in the top 10, to later be a part of her 1st reality show "The Industry" with Jr. Records.  She then starred, wrote music, and music directed her 1st major stage play. "I Can't Let Him Go" at Lyceum Theatre (San Diego) teaming up with Cynthia Pollard and San Diego's Angela Dixon the playwright.  Other independent accomplishments include; her self-released song "I Am Blessed" from the "Gospel In Me" single "Hit Me Up" for her "Next Level" album.  She recorded songs for coast2coastmixtapes, And What? Records (Las Vegas), Living Life Entertainment & Loose Change Productions of Las Vegas, 2012 to current, and guest performances for Little Jay Gambino Productions, BET 1st Annual Players Award, Money Mouth Management, venues Hard Rock Casino w/Don Carlos & Friends, Barrio Latino, Riviera Casino (currently closed down), Guest T.V Shows performances for Sandy Kastel & Friends, Let’s Talk News Las Vegas, recently aired for KKVV Las Vegas Radio for Life After Addictions for a live interview & live performance.  Upcoming projects include launching her own entertainment company L.G.L Entertainment & Label Incorporated with Superhit Media & Dex Rex Records of Las Vegas.
